Joyce Ann Hibler, age 75, died December 8, 2017 at University Medical Center in Lubbock, TX. She was born July 31, 1942 in El Dorado, KS, the daughter of Paul and Deloris (Rogers) Burnham.

On August 3, 1973 she married Lawrence “Bud” Hibler at Liberal, KS.

She earned her GED in 1983. She had resided in El Dorado, KS, Tyrone, OK and was a resident of Liberal for more than 50 years. She had been a resident of Amarillo, TX for the past 7 years.

She worked at Beech Aircraft as a riveter and inspector, the Seward County Health Department as a Healthy Start Coordinator, a Seward County Commissioner and USD 480 at Garfield and McKinley Elementary Schools as a teaching assistant.

She was a member of Needles and Friends Quilt Guild, First Baptist Church, Bell Avenue Baptist Church of Amarillo, TX and countless Bowling Leagues in Liberal.

5 Daughters Leslie Cairns and husband Steve Pueblo West, CO
Barbara Washington and husband George Wichita, KS
Karla Jo and Santos Fuentes Amarillo, TX
Tammy Kerr and husband Bryan Amarillo, TX
Kelli Lucas and husband John Norwood, MO

3 Sons Jim Hibler and wife Linda Grain Valley, MO
Larry Hibler Oklahoma City, OK
Mark Hibler and wife Rebecca Houston, TX

1 Brother Roger Burnham and wife Janet Virginia Beach, VA

1 Sister Gwen Williamson and husband Dan Burlington, KS

27 Grandchildren and numerous Great Grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, 2 Sons Richard and Bill Hibler, 1 Brother Stevie Burnham, 1 Sister Janice Boger and 1 Grandson Will Lovelace.

Funeral service will be 10:00 a.m. Thursday, December 14, 2017 at the First Baptist Church in Liberal, KS with Pastor Danny Logan of Bell Avenue Baptist Church, Amarillo, TX presiding, assisted by Pastor Carl Nance of Celebration Church of Dodge City, KS. Burial will be in the Liberal Cemetery, Liberal, KS.

Visitation will be 1:00 pm to 8:00 pm Wednesday with the family present from 7:00-8:00 pm at Brenneman Funeral Home to greet friends.

Memorial contributions may be sent to the Bell Avenue Baptist Church, Amarillo, TX, in care of the Brenneman Funeral Home, 1212 W. 2nd Liberal, KS 67901.
