Jane Ann Rogers Prusa, 55 of North Kansas City, Missouri formerly of Ulysses, Kansas passed away Friday, March 4, 2011 at North Kansas City Hospital in North Kansas City, Missouri due to complications from illness. She was born April 30, 1955 in Ulysses, Kansas, the daughter of Barney and Marie Rogers.

Jane Ann grew up in Ulysses where she attended school and graduated from Ulysses High School in 1973. She then went on and attended Fort Hays State University for several years. During her years at Hays, she was a member of Alpha Gamma Delta Sorority. She was also Miss Southwest Kansas in 1976. After getting married, Jane Ann moved to Chicago, Illinois where she was a medical recruiter. She served as the State President of Indiana Personnel Consultants. In 1985, Jane Ann and her family moved to Wichita, Kansas where she was a stay at home mom for her two sons, whom she adored. In 1994, Jane Ann moved back to Ulysses, Kansas. While in Ulysses she was involved in many church activities and an avid follower of her children’s activities. She began selling real estate in 1999 and then went on to start Sundance Real Estate. While running her own company she served as Co-President of Dynatest, Inc and Joint Effort Wellness Center. In 2009, she moved to North Kansas City, Missouri to begin a new chapter in her life to be closer to her sons. She was a real estate broker in both Kansas and Missouri for Reece and Nichols. Jane Ann lived for her family and friends and her two cats, Louis and Thelma.

She is survived by her two sons, Dr. Brandon Rogers Prusa of Chicago, Illinois , Grant Parker Prusa of Lawrence, Kansas; mother, Marie Rogers of Ulysses, Kansas; sister, Pam Anderson and husband Mike of Ulysses, Kansas; brother, Bill Rogers and wife Yolanda of Ulysses, Kansas; nieces, Ann Jacob and husband Nick of Emporia, Kansas, Kelsey Donaldson and husband Chris of San Antonio, Texas; nephews, Brad Rogers and fiancé Heather of Cape Coral, Florida, and Tannis Anderson of Manhattan, Kansas.

She was preceded in death by her father, Barney Rogers.

Funeral service will be held Tuesday, March 8, 2011 at 10:00 AM at the First United Methodist Church in Ulysses, Kansas with Reverend Dennis Livingston and Reverend Wayne Flanders officiating. Interment will follow at the Ulysses Cemetery. Friends may call Monday, March 7, 2011 from 2:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Garnand Funeral Home in Ulysses. Memorial contributions may be given to the First United Methodist Church of Ulysses or the Church of the Resurrection in Kansas City, Missouri in care of Garnand Funeral Home, 405 W. Grant Ave, Ulysses, KS 67880.
