James “Jim” Merritt

James “Jim” Merritt, 69, passed away on Sunday, April 14, 2019 at Morton County Care Center, Elkhart, Kansas.

Jim was born to Earl Oscar and Florence (Weaver) Merritt on August 5, 1949 in Elkhart, Kansas. He was a life time resident of Elkhart.

Jim and Carol Joyce Ward were married on November 3, 1990 at Hillcrest Baptist Church in Elkhart, Kansas.

Jim work for the City of Elkhart for many years. He loved and enjoyed his family. He enjoyed playing with the grandchildren.

Jim survivors include, wife, Carol Merritt of the home, three daughters, Pammy Baldwin & husband Dana, Elkhart, KS., Debbie Williams and wife Eva, Milliken, CO., Barbie McCallion, Elkhart, KS.; Grandchildren, Tannan Baldwin, Garrett Baldwin, Brandon Williams & wife Jade, Micheal McCallion & wife Kasey, Christopher Williams & wife Faith, Gerico McCallion, Cherokee Rankin, Casey McCallion, Jade Williams and Faith Williams; 2 Great Grandchildren, Clay Williams and Tatum Rankin and other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Graveside service will be held on Wednesday, April 17, 2019 at 2 PM at Elkhart Cemetery, Elkhart, Kansas.

Friends may call Tuesday 10 AM to 8 PM at Robson Funeral Home, Hugoton.
