David Nathaniel Hamblin

David Nathaniel Hamblin, age 34, of Garden City, Kansas, died Tuesday, January 17, 2017, at Via Christi Regional Medical Center – St. Francis Campus in Wichita, Kansas. He was born August 26, 1982, in Hugoton, Kansas the son of Charles Buchanan and Peggy Hamblin.

David grew up and attended school at Hugoton, Kansas. He had also lived in Oakley, Kansas, Colby, Kansas, Amarillo, Texas and Hooker, Oklahoma. He was currently living in Garden City, Kansas and was an Electrician at Davis Electric. He enjoyed time with his family and friends, fishing and his dog.

On February 21, 2014, he married Shandi Hickman in Las Vegas, Nevada. She survives.

Other survivors include two sons, Dalton Stegman and Bryston Stegman both of Amarillo, Texas; three daughters, Jezalee Correa, Brylee Hamblin and Josalynn Hamblin all of Garden City, Kansas; father, Charles Buchanan of Louisiana, Missouri; mother, Peggy Meissner of Hooker, Oklahoma; two brothers, Tyler Buchanan of St. Louis, Missouri and Nicholas Buchanan of Louisiana, Missouri; half-brothers and sisters, Gabriel Buchanan of Mokane, Missouri, Heidi Buchanan of Mokane, Missouri, Lisa Mcananary of Panama City, Florida, Desiree Weekly of Monroe, Louisiana, Charlee Kay Smith of Bowling Green, Missouri, Cody Smith of Louisiana, Missouri, Casey Buchanan of Bowling Green, Missouri, and Daira Stewart of Hugoton, Kansas; and grandmother, Marjorie Hamblin of Hooker, Oklahoma.

Funeral service will be held Saturday, January 21, 2017, 2:00 P.M. at the Assembly of God Church in Hugoton, Kansas with Pastor Ben Coats and Richard Martin presiding. Cremation will follow the service. Family requests memorials be given, in lieu of flowers, to the David Nathaniel Hamblin Memorial Fund in care of Garnand Funeral Home, 423 S. Main, Hugoton, Kansas 67951.
