Clinton “Buss” Nordyke

Clinton “Buss” Nordyke, 84, passed away Friday, July 5, 2019, at St. Catherine Hospital, Garden City, KS.

Buss was born to Wayne and Doris (Ridpath) Nordyke, June 15, 1935, in Feterita, KS. He graduated from Hugoton High School and grew up in the United Methodist Church of Hugoton.

Buss and Dixie L. Kagarice were married November 19, 1954, in Hugoton, KS.

He served in the United States Air Force in 1958.

Buss was a plant manager and retired from Midwest Pipe Coating in Schererville, IN. In 2005 they decided to move back to Hugoton to enjoy family and friends.

He is survived by, wife, Dixie Nordyke, Hugoton, KS. a daughter; Sherri JoAnn Ortiz, Chicago, IL; two grandchildren Enzo L. Nordyke and Cora V. Ortiz; a brother, Bill Nordyke, Schererville, IN and many other friends and relatives.

Buss was preceded in death by his parents, a son, Kelly G. Nordyke, sister, Phyllis Duncan and brother, Jim Nordyke.

A memorial has been established for Pheasant Heaven Charities. Memorials may be mailed to Robson Funeral Home, P.O. Box 236, Hugoton, KS 67951.

Visitation will be Monday, July 8, 2019, 10 AM to 8 PM, Robson Funeral Home, Hugoton.

Memorial service will be Tuesday, July 9, 2019, 1 PM at Hugoton Cemetery, Hugoton, KS.

Robson Funeral Home, of Hugoton is in charge of arrangements.
