Clark Huddleston, age 84, of Tuttle, Oklahoma, and formerly of Manter, Kansas, died Thursday, April 25, 2019, at St. Anthony’s Hospital in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. He was born March 2, 1935, on the Pine Ridge Indian Reservation near Martin, South Dakota, the son of Delmar Lyman and Lucille Lou (Labuff) Huddleston.

Clark served in the United States Air Force for four years. He followed the wheat harvest before he married Ruth Schaffer on May 12, 1962, in Miami, Oklahoma. Clark was known for his strong work ethic and instilled it in his children. He worked mainly in the agriculture industry. His family moved to Manter in the early 1980’s where he went to work for Bob and Chesna Hume. His main job was driving truck. Clark and Ruth put in many miles picking up cattle. After retiring, Clark still went out to the farm to help with odd jobs. The Huddleston’s took a family vacation every year. They have traveled in every state but four. Clark never met a stranger; and loved to visit with everyone no matter where they were or who was waiting on him.

He is survived by his wife, Ruth of their home in Tuttle, Oklahoma; son, Alonzo Huddleston and wife Janelle of Yukon, Oklahoma; daughter, Kelly McCarter and husband Randy of Blanchard, Oklahoma; step-sons, Gene Howes and wife Nancy of Sioux City, Iowa, and Philip Howes and wife Julie of Sac City, Iowa; brother, Ivan Foster of Ponca City, Oklahoma; sisters, Pat Oden and husband Stephen of Enid, Oklahoma, and Alice Clevenger of Kansas City, Kansas; three grandsons, KC, Jacob and Xander; two step-granddaughters, Amber and Crystal; one great-grandson, Kameron, and two step-great-grandchildren.
