Cecil Leon Bennett, age 63, of Elkhart, Kansas, died Tuesday, June 25, 2019, at Ascension Via Christi St. Francis Hospital in Wichita, Kansas. He was born October 12, 1955, in Boise City, Oklahoma, the son of Leon Aaron and Pauline Virginia (Ellis) Bennett.

Cecil was born and raised in Boise City. When he was younger, he enjoyed going to work with his Dad. He enjoyed participating in rodeos, riding bulls, riding his Harley Davidson motorcycle, fishing and camping. Cecil married Kerri Lynne Raney on October 8, 1977, in Elkhart. After their marriage, Cecil loved working cattle with his father-in-law, Aryln. Cecil was a repairman for Panhandle Eastern Pipeline from 1977-1992; and then drove truck for Robertson Tank Service. Cecil was a past member of Jaycces, and helped with the Little Britches Rodeo. He attended Cowboy Church, never knew a stranger, and will be remembered for his congeniality. Uncle Cecil was a favorite with all his nieces and nephews.

Survivors include his wife, Kerri of their home; son, Justin Raney Bennett of Elkhart; daughter, Amanda Virginia Bennett of Elkhart; sisters, Lena Beth Teddy of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, Jeanna LeAnn Bennet of Boise City, Oklahoma; three grandchildren, Bria LeAnn Bennett, Justice LaRae Bennett, and Jakkilynne Raeola Wares; and great-granddaughter, Avynlee May Bennett.

Cecil is preceded in death by his parents; and brother, Quinn Leon Bennett; and his pride and joy, Biskit the cat.

Graveside service will be held Monday, July 1, 2019, at 10:00 AM at Elkhart Cemetery in Elkhart, Kansas with Jess Lee officiating. Friends may call Sunday, June 30, 2019, from 2:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Garnand Funeral Home in Elkhart.
