Blain Allen Boaldin

Blain Allen Boaldin, age 31, of Amarillo, Texas, died Monday, August 19, 2019. He was born July 19, 1988, and raised in Elkhart, Kansas, the son of Travis and Terisa Boaldin.


He enjoyed golfing, watching his Dallas Cowboys play football, collecting coins, playing cards and dominoes, traveling and visiting museums and zoos, blowing up fireworks, making people laugh, and spending time with his family and friends. He was passionate and knowledgeable about history. He earned his Associate’s Degree in Psychology at Barton County Community College in Great Bend, Kansas, and graduated with several honors. He was continuing his education to earn his Bachelor’s Degree in History at ASU with the intent to teach history.


Survivors include his mother, Terisa Boaldin of Elkhart, Kansas; wife, Ali Boaldin and their son Wyatt Boaldin of Bethany, Oklahoma; sisters, Ashley Parks and nephew Karter Parks of Amarillo, Texas, sister, Brittney Boaldin and niece Luna Shinkle of Wichita, Kansas; grandmother, Dian Boaldin of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; and grandparents, Brent and Sherry West of Buckeye, Arizona.


Blain is preceded in death by his father, Travis Boaldin; grandfather, Bob Boaldin; cousin, Hilary Boaldin; and brother-in-law, Kyle King.


Memorial service will be held on Tuesday, August 27, 2019, at 10:00 a.m. at the First Church of God in Elkhart, Kansas, with Jess Lee officiating. Inurment will follow at the Elkhart Cemetery. The family requests memorials be given to the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention in care of Garnand Funeral Home, PO Box 854, Elkhart, KS, 67950.
