2012 LHS Homecoming Court Announced
02/07/2012

The 2012 LHS Winter Homecoming court has been announced.  The Senior candidates are Amanda Collins, Diana Villarreal and Lauren Sarchet, the junior attendant is Yubisela Toledo, sophomore attendant is Stephanie Sanchez and the freshman attendant is Myriam Rubio.

Senior candidate Amanda Collins is the daughter of Bill and Cheryl Collins.  Amanda has participated in Key Club, Standout, NHS, Basketball, and is the Class of 2012 President. Her future plans include graduating college and becoming a missionary doctor in an overseas country. Amanda admitted that she is one of the nicest people you’ll ever meet, but she does have a fierce competitive side.

Senior candidate Diana Villarreal is the daughter of Juan and Margarita Villarreal. Diana has been an active cheerleader here at LHS. She would like to go on to college, cheer there, and continue to live for God every day.  Diana told us that when she has her headphones on, she pretends she’s in a music video.

Senior candidate Lauren Sarchet is the daughter of Jeff and Patricia Sarchet.  Lauren has been a member of Band, Jazz Band, Redskins Singers, Standout, Drama, Thespians, and NHS. Her future plans are to Oklahoma City University and pursue a degree in music performance. Something unusual about Lauren is that she can touch her nose with her tongue!

Junior attendant Yubisela Toledo is the daughter of Benigno and Matlide Toledo.  Yubi is involved in Key Club, FBLA, Art Club, Science Club, and NHS.  She would like to go off to KU, become a business lawyer, and make a difference in the world.  Those around her would agree; Yubi finds humor in everything.

Sophomore attendant Stephanie Sanchez is the daughter of Rosalio Sanchez and Ana Rubino.  Stephanie is a member of FBLA, plays basketball, and plans to go out for softball. She will finish high school and attend vet school. Stephanie admitted to us that learning French is her secret goal.

The freshman attendant is Myriam Rubio. Daughter of Fidel and Olivia Rubio. She is escorted this afternoon by her best friend Giovanni Evan Vasquez. Here at LHS, Myriam has participated in key club and softball. Her future plans are to graduate from LHS and go on to attend college.  Few people know that Myriam doesn’t like to wear shoes.

The Flower Girl is Kylie Rhine, daughter of Travis and Olivia Rhine.  The Ring Bearer is  Brooks Kappelmann,  son of Brock and Ashley Kappelmann.
