Baker Arts Center To Offer Workshops

The Baker Arts Center will be offering a furniture renewal workshop on Friday Sept. 13th 5:00-7:00pm & Saturday Sept 14th from 10:00-1:00pm. Karla Manriquez & Ashley Cranford from Burlap & Blossoms, will be teaching refurbishing and painting techniques on your very own piece of furniture (chair or small table.) Call Baker with your Sherwin Williams color choice. Cost is $40.00 for members and $45.00 for non-members. Class size limited to 15.

Once again the potter’s wheels will be spinning at the Baker Arts Center for adults to experience the art of throwing on the wheel. Hand building techniques will also be used to round out the clay making experience. Surface decoration and textures as well as glazing to enhance the form will finish off the artwork. Class will meet Friday, Sept.13 from 6:30 to 9:30 pm and Saturday, Sept. 14 from 10:00 am to 4:00 pm with glazing on Saturday, Sept. 21 from 10:00 am to 12:00 noon. The cost is $35.00 for members and $45.00 for nonmembers. Call 624-2810 to enroll. The Baker Arts Center is located at 624 N. Pershing in Liberal.
