Meade County Accident Involving Motor Home Injures Six

An accident involving a motor home injured six people Saturday morning near Fowler. The accident occurred shortly before 11:00 AM Saturday morning. A 2005 motor home was headed west on Highway 54. A 1993 Ford truck was also headed west waiting to turn south onto Lake View Road. A Raleigh Capri bicycle was headed east. The driver of the motor home tried to pass the Ford truck on the left due to oncoming traffic and struck the Ford truck in the rear. The motor home continued west until striking the Capri bicycle coming to rest in the north ditch. The driver of the motor home 46-year old Julie Kaylor of Wichita and her passenger 54-year old Dennis Kaylor of Wichita were injured. The driver of the Ford truck 40-year old Max Klotz of Meade and occupant 15-year old Logan Klotz of Meade and 16-year old occupant Shayne Stocking of Minneola were injured. The driver of the Capri bicycle 46-year old John Allen of Fort Smith, Arkansas was injured. All six people were taken to Meade District Hospital with injuries.
