Liberal Hosts State Tournament for 11-Year Olds

Liberal hosts the 11-year old Cal Ripken Kansas State Tournament this weekend at Rosel Field. There will be a picnic at Bluebonnet Park Thursday night followed by coaches' meetings at the Liberal Parks and Recreation Center on Friday morning. The Sportsguys show will air live from the recreation center Friday morning between 7:37 and 9:00 AM on Talkradio 1270 and kscb.net. The opening ceremonies will be Friday night at 6:45 at Rosel Field. Here is the schedule and teams.

American League- SPIAA, Wellington, Columbus, and Ottawa

National League- Cimarron River (Liberal), Andover, Buhler, and Fort Scott

Friday

Noon- Wellington vs. Ottawa

2:15- Fort Scott vs. Buhler

4:30- Columbus vs. SPIAA

7:30- Andover vs. Cimarron River

Saturday

Noon- Andover vs. Fort Scott

2:15- SPIAA vs. Wellington

4:30- Cimarron River vs. Buhler

6:45- Ottawa vs. Columbus

Sunday

1:00- SPIAA vs. Ottawa

3:15- Buhler vs. Andover

5:30- Wellington vs. Columbus

6:45- Cimarron Rivers vs. Fort Scott

Monday

Noon- Game 13 #2 National vs. #1 American

2:15- Game 14 #2 American vs. #1 National

5:15- Game 15 loser of 13 vs. loser of 14

7:30- Game 16 winner of 13 vs. winner of 14 (championship)
