Moore Pitches Bulldogs to Win at Hooker
06/30/2009

The Liberal Bulldogs swept Hooker last night at Hooker. Moscow's Jace Moore, who found out days ago he would be featured in Sports Illustrated's "Faces in the Crowd," pitched the Bulldogs to the win in the league game. Moore went the distance in an 8-1 win. The game was called short in the bottom of the sixth due to lightning. Liberal scored six in the first after just one hit but many Hooker walks. In the non league game, Liberal won 18-0. Horny Toad pitching had a difficult time throwing strikes as the Dogs scored 18 runs with just seven hits. Chris Flowers got the win. Liberal is 20-4 overall and 11-0 in league. They host Elkhart Wednesday night.
