Mario Chalmers to appear in Garden City Saturday for book signing

Former Kansas Jayhawk star Mario Chalmers who hit what has already gone down in KU basketball history as 'the shot' which helped lead the Jayhawks to the 2008 National Championship will be in Garden City Saturday for a book signing. Chalmers will be autographing copies of “Kansas Jayhawks: A Year to Remember,” which was written by KU beat writer Jason King. Chalmers just finished up his rookie season in the NBA with the Miami Heat.

The book signing will take place at Samy's Spirits & Steakhouse in Garden City which is located at 1911 E Kansas Ave. The signing will take place from 4-7 p.m. To receive an autograph fans who attend must purchase the book at the signing for $29.95. The book will be autographed and then fans may have Chalmers sign an additional item. Any additional items after that will cost $17 per item.
