Seward Volleyball Players Signs at CSU-Pueblo
12/09/2011

1761

Following a two year career with the Lady Saints that
saw her finish 8th all-time in blocks, Seward sophomore right side
hitter Aislyn Karney has signed with the ThunderWolves of Colorado State
University-Pueblo.  Karney joins the RMAC's Pack after putting up solid
numbers in two years with the Lady Saints.  As a freshman she was slowed
by injury but still managed 120 kills and 75 blocks in just 90 games.
As a sophomore she took her game to the next level and was arguably the
best right side in the Jayhawk Conference as she notched 278 kills and
179 blocks while playing in every game in Seward's 25-16 season.  Karney
joins a ThunderWolves squad that finished in a 7th place tie in the RMAC
this season with a 10-8 record in conference action and a 15-13 record
overall.  Karney should have the chance to make an immediate impact for
CSU-Pueblo as Coach Jen Gomez's squad does not return any right side
hitters for the 2012 season.
