The Liberal Bee Jays defeated the El Dorado Broncos 3-2 in eleven innings Sunday at Brent Gould Field in front of a large crowd on National Beef night. The Bee Jays are 2-2 after splitting the series with El Dorado (4-2, 2-2). Texas-Arlington catcher Chad Comer delivered the game winning hit in the bottom of the eleventh to score Lubbock Christian's Tanner Rindels. The ball looked to be a routine fly ball to center but the strong wind out of the northwest blew the ball away from the center fielder who made a diving attempt at the ball but couldn't hold on. The Bee Jays had loaded the bases with nobody out but that play came with two outs. The BJ's scored their first two runs in the fourth when Louisiana Tech's Kris Kersten drove home two runs. San Diego righty Matt Hauser pitched seven and two-thirds innings allowing no earned runs in a no decision. Wichita State's Mitch Caster pitched two and one-third innings without and earned run and four strikeouts. Seward's Roldan Ochoa pitched a scoreless 11th for the win. Liberal will host Junction City Monday at 7 p.m. Days Inn is the buyout sponsor. The game will not be aired on the radio as it is a non-league game. The next broadcast is Wednesday at Dodge City.
