Beaver's Chavez Wins Billy's 10 Best Scholarship

Beaver quarterback Luis Chavez is the Duster winner of the Billy's 10 Best Scholarship.  Chavez wins 250 dollars to his school of choice for a scholarship next year.  Chavez is also all state in track and field.  He runs in the state cross country meet Saturday.  Chavez is also a member of National Honor Society, the BHS choir, and helps the Beaver grade schoolers as an athletic aid. 

He joins Sublette's Garret Tatman, Southwestern Heights' Alex Adame, Tyrone's Travis Shield,  Hooker's Kyle Bingham,  Hugoton's Colton Lissolo, and Moscow's Breck Roop as winners of the Billy's 10 Best 250 dollar scholarship.

 

 

Each team featured on Thursday night's “On the Sidelines” will have a $250.00 Senior Recipient chosen from the next nights game and will be announced the following week on “the SportsGuys” and again Thursday night at Billy's.

The recipient will be chosen by football coaching staff and will be awarded for best performance, most dedicated, most hustle, etc as decided by staff.

Nine area winners will be joined by one Liberal Redskin Senior (Picked the ninth game of year).

At the conclusion of season the 10 Winners plus their parents, and the Head Coach and Wife will be honored at a dinner honoring Billy's Ten Best. The night will include a dinner, a speaker, and the announcement of one winner, who will receive an additional $250 Scholarship.

The scholarship will be distributed the following year to the college - Vo Tech that the winner is attending.

Thursday “On the Sidelines Schedule” airs at 6:05 p.m. on 102.7 FM 'The Legend”.  The game of the week airs at 7 p.m. Friday nights on 102.7 'The Legend'.

October 14 - Beaver (at Hooker)

October 21 - Satanta (vs. Sublette)

October 28 - Turpin (vs. Mooreland)
