Record Number of New Teachers Liberal Bound
08/05/2011

A record number of new teachers are coming to Liberal this fall. The Liberal Chamber of Commerce will host a breakfast for them Thursday morning and Rozelle Webb says it will be a busy breakfast.

“We have more educators coming in this year than ever,” Webb said. “We have about 90 coming in. Usually there are about 75 new educators. The college and USD 480 have more coming in so that brings the numbers up. We’re glad that the businesses have sponsored a teacher and are going to introduce them at the breakfast.”
Everyone is welcome to attend, but due to the high number of new teachers the chamber needs you reserve a spot by 5 p.m. today. The breakfast is Thursday at 6:45 a.m.
