Meade's Hernandez Hauls in a Long TD in Shrine Bowl
08/01/2011

Meade's Kellen Hernandez knows how to finish things off.  He quarterbacked the Meade Buffaloes to the 2A state championship last fall.  Saturday he caught a 66-yard touchdown to help the West dominate the East 30-7 at Lewis Field in Hays.  It's the sixth straight win for the West over the East.  Stanton County's Austin Nairn also played in the game.  The West defense held the East to 101 yards and just seven rushing yards.  Next year's Shrine Bowl game is in Emporia before the 2013 game heads to Manhattan.
