Liberal BJ's Win Final Home Game
07/27/2011

Blake Bergeron

Two Liberal Bee Jays won more than the ballgame last night.  Blake Bergeron and Cale
Elam share the title of Most Valuable Player but Staats Jewelers made sure they each walked away with their own MVP watch. Danny Luebbers was named Outstanding Board Member of the year during an opening ceremony that also recognized the host families.  The Liberal BJs won their final home game of the year 4-0 against the Colorado Collegiate League All Stars.  The BJ’s scored one in the 5th and one in the 6th, then added two in the seventh on a 2 RBI single by MVP Bergeron.  Winning pitcher was Nick Youpel.  The Bee Jays will be in Dodge city tonight for their final league game before heading to Wichita Saturday.  Listen to the remaining Bee Jay games on Talk Radio 1270 and www.kscbnews.net.
