Bee Jays Pound Pueblo
06/03/2011
Reyn Nagamine Greg McCall

The Liberal Bee Jays scored seven runs in the first in route to a 22-6 win over the Pueblo Collegians Thursday night at Brent Gould Field in Liberal.  The Bee Jays plated seven in the first, five in the third, six in the fourth, and four in the fifth.  The game was called in the top of the sixth due to lightning.

Angelo State catcher Toby Semler was 3-5 with a home run and four RBI's.  Newcomer Reyn Nagamine of San Diego was 2-4 with four RBI's in his first game with the team.  One pitcher remained in the starting lineup and UTA's Kasey Merck was 2-4 with an RBI and is 5-8 in two games.  Midland's Regan Peason and UTSA's Riley Good were both 2-4.

On the mound, lefty Robbie Ingram of Yavapai started the game and pitched four innings allowing five runs, walking five and striking out four.  John Woods righty Curtis Washburn pitcher two and two thirds innings allowing one run, striking out two, and walking two.

Seward's Jordan Dallalio, Eddie Williams, and Jace Moore are members of the Collegians and  attended the game in the Pueblo dugout but are taking a few days off after the Saints JUCO World Series run.

The Bee Jays host the Aurora Bombers Friday night at 7 p.m. at Brent Gould Field.  Billy's is the buyout sponsor.
