Elkhart Takes Fourth at State

Elkhart placed fourth as a team in the 2A golf tournament at Buffalo Dunes in Garden City Monday.   The Wildcats shot a 362 just ahead of a 363 for Stanton County and Meade shot a 364.  Pittsburg Colgan won state with a 327.  Stanton County's Brad Ellis was ninth with an 84.  Meade's Austin Jansonius carded an 85 for 11th.  Stanton County's Broc Ellis and Elkhart's Damion Weatherman shot 88's for 19th. 

In 4A at Hutchinson, Ulysses placed sixth with a 346.  Topeka Hayden won state with a 321.  Brady Buxman of Ulysses took seventh with a 76. 

In 5A at Newton, Liberal's Alex Colvin entered the club house with a 79 for 38th place.  Liberal's Zane Ralston carded an 85 for 60th.  The two seniors graduated Saturday.
