Yellow Brick Road Car Show This Weekend

The third annual Yellow Brick Road Car Show is set for this weekend. The show promises to be bigger and better than ever! Entrants are invited to attend a free BBQ dinner on Friday night sponsored by Billy's, then are encouraged to bring their lawnchairs and enjoy a special outdoor showing of the movie "Gone In 60 Seconds". Popcorn will be provided. On Saturday, registration will continue until 11:00am, when the show will then be open to the public. In the past over 100 participants have entered the car show with more expected this year. Cars, trucks, motorcycles, and ATV's are welcome to enter. On Saturday, participants and attendees will get an up close and personal look at a very special guest. Eleanor from the movie "Gone In 60 Seconds", will be on display at the car show. This is the original "Eleanor" one of 11 used in the movie, and one of only 3 still in existence. "Eleanor" is owned by Liberal residents Tony and Jackie Bruce. Awards will be given out at 3:00pm, with the show closing at 4:00pm. The car show is free to the public, however the concession stand and any other proceeds will go to the "Southwest Miracles For Adults".
