Davis and Rotolo Land KSCB Scholarships

Liberal plays Great Bend in Conference play tonight.

Liberal High School hosted their Athletic Awards Assembly Saturday night in Maskis Auditorium. Nate Davis and Hannah Rotolo won KSCB's Booster Club Scholarships. Davis was named to the West Shrine Bowl team after a standout football season. He was a runner up at state in wrestling and is will compete for a WAC title in track and field Thursday. Rotolo was an all state basketball player for 21-2 LHS this winter. She won the 400 meter dash at state last year. Other award winners Saturday night included:

Glen and Joan Cooper- Valentin Borunda

Christian Athlete- Ryan Petty

Lady Redskin (top junior) LaTonya Gooden

Iron Man (top junior) Michael Cummins

Dave Gilmore Hard Hat- Ryan Petty and MaKayla McPhail

Activities Academic Award- MaKayla McPhail and Tyler Sutherland

Sportsmanship- Justin Morgan and Hannah Rotolo

Outstanding Redskin Fan- Rick and Tami Potts

Daily Leader- MaKayla McPhail and Nate Davis

Southwest Times Redskin Heart Award- Ryan Petty and Brittany Odle

Booster Club- Kae Krueger and Dale Scheurman

Athlete of the Year- MaKayla McPhail and Nate Davis
