Lady Saints Set Record in Dodge City
02/21/2011

The Seward Lady Saints came ready to play defense Sunday in Dodge City.  The Lady Saints held an opponent to a school record low in a blowout win.  Seward held the Lady Conqs (7-22, 0-15) to six fields goals and under 12 percent shooting in a 72-21 win at the Dodge City Civic Center.  That smashes the 2007 school record when SCCC beat Hutch 37-24.  Ashlynn Knoll had 14 points and eight rebounds in the win.  Mariah Lee added 12 points.  Kayla Thomas had nine points, seven assists, and no turnovers.  Hanna Bogner blocked seven shots.  Seward led 29-14 at halftime and outscored the Lady Conqs 44-7 in the second half.  Seward is 18-10 overall and 8-6 in the Jayhawk West.  They host Garden City Wednesday night at 6 p.m. on B107.5 and kscbnews.net.
