Westerman Wins Swimming Event

Liberal plays Great Bend in Conference play tonight.

Liberal's Ashlyn Westerman took first place at Hays in the 50 freestroke. She led the way for Liberal who took third out of four teams including Hays, TMP, and Dodge City. Westerman also teams with Morgan Wills, Megan Jacobs, and Taylor Apsley in the 200 freestyle relay for second. Wills took second in the 100 backstroke. Westerman was third in the 100 freestroke. Wills was fourth in the 50 freestroke. Apsley took fifth in the 100 butterfly. Jacobs was fifth in the 100 backstroke. Liberal competes for a WAC title at Garden City May 14.
