Carl Holmes Holds House Energy Chair
12/29/2010

Speaker of the Kansas House Mike O'Neal (R-Hutchinson) announced that Energy and Utilities Committee Chair Carl Holmes (R-Liberal) will continue as chair.  Representative Holmes has previously served as Chair of the Energy and Utilities Committee.

"Representative Holmes has extensive knowledge of energy issues," said O'Neal.  "He is a proven expert in the field and his experience has been invaluable in passing significant energy policy.  I am confident that Representative Holmes will provide consistent leadership throughout the next two years."

The House Energy Committee is composed of 19 members and is responsible for energy and utility policy.

"I am honored by the opportunity to continue serving the people of Kansas in this capacity as we continue to develop statewide energy policy," said Holmes.

The House Energy Committee meets daily at 9:00 am in 785-Docking.
