It's All Beethoven Concert Set For May 7

The Southwest Symphony will perform “It’s All Beethoven” concert at 7 p.m. Thursday, May 7, at the Seward County Community College Area Technical School Auditorium. The event is sponsored by the at the Southwest Symphony Society and admission is a free-will donation.

The symphony will play the following Beethoven selections, the Second Movement of the Seventh Symphony, the entire Fifth Symphony and the Finale to the Ninth Symphony, under the direction of Conductor Grant Mathews.

“The Southwest Symphony musicians have been working on this all year,” Mathews said, “and it’s a wonderful conclusion for the year. We’ve got great local musicians and I hope the public comes out to support them.

Refreshments will be served. The Southwest Symphony Society is a Liberal non-profit organization dedicated to promoting classical and contemporary music in the community utilizing the talents of local and professional musicians.
