Skins Take Third at Tasosa

Liberal's wrestlers were 5-2 and placed third at Amarillo Tascosa Friday and Saturday. Liberal's 215 lb. Justin McPhail and 140 lb. Adebayou Braimah were both 7-0. McPhail had four pins and a technical fall while Braimah had four pins. Ayodole Braimah at 145 was 6-1 with three pins and three major decisions. Three Redskins (Alejandro Avila at 125, Cody Smith at 130, and Tanner Montoya at 180) were 5-2 this weekend in Amarillo. Frederic Gomez at 152 and 160 was 4-0. Trenton Wilson was 3-2 at 152 while Mizael Gonzalez was 3-4 at 135 and Antonio Moreno was 3-4 at the heavyweight division. Here are the team results.

Bushland 46-18 W

Randal 46-37 W

Dumas 51-34 L

Hereford 52-24 W

Altus 67-13 L

Liberal hosts the Southwest Classic January 7.
