A state panel will gather next week to
certify the results of the November general election from Kansas.
The group will meet Monday in the secretary of state's office to
validate the results, which follows certification by county
canvassing boards across Kansas in recent weeks.
Among the results to be certified are the victories of
Republican U.S. Sen. Sam Brownback as governor, Republican Kris
Kobach as the next secretary of state and Republican Senate
Majority Leader Derek Schmidt as attorney general.
Also, it will include the results of all 125 Kansas House of
Representative races, two constitutional amendments and retention
of four Kansas Supreme Court justices.
The newly elected officials will take their posts in January.
