3 Liberal Residents Killed In Oklahoma Accident
11/14/2010

Three Kansans were killed in an accident Friday on U.S. Highway 54 in the Oklahoma Panhandle.

Fifty-three-year-old Gloria Pulido, 61-year-old Lee Thonguanh and 49-year-old Victoriano Bautista-Lopez, all of Liberal, Kansas, died after the van they were riding in was hit by another motorist about a mile and a half west of Tyrone, Oklahoma.

Maria Rundell, 47, of Liberal, Kansas, was traveling westbound on U.S. Highway 54 when she went into the eastbound lane and went onto the shoulder. While attempting to move back into the westbound lane Rundell's vehicle struck the van, according to the Oklahoma Highway Patrol.

Rundell and two other passengers in the van were taken to the hospital for treatment.
