Winners Announced In The "Think Pink" Competition
10/15/2010

Liberal has been wrapped in pink this week. It's

Think Pink Week for breast cancer awareness. There is an ongoing

scavenger hunt and judging for the decorating contest was held on

Wednesday. Cancer survivors judged the three divisions of the

hospital departments, medical offices, and businesses. In the hospital division the Med/Surg nurses took first with a "Fight Like A Girl" theme and in second was Radiology who used a "Scooby Doo" theme. In the Medical office division Dr. Lucero's office came in first place using a "Carnival" theme, while the Seward County Health Department came in second. For the Business Division Golden Plains "Detective" theme proved to be a winner as the Credit Union took first. In second was Wheatridge Park Care Center who used a "Starlight" theme. 23 individuals attended the Breast Cancer Awareness Seminar Thursday evening. For more information on Breast Cancer Awareness, mammograms or the scavenger hunt, you can call Kelly Denton at 620-629-6286.
