A Kansas Democratic Party official is trying to link the Republican nominee for the U.S. Senate to potential aviation job losses.
Republican candidate and Congressman Jerry Moran has the endorsement of Louisiana Gov. Bobby Jindal.
Wichita-based aviation company Hawker Beechcraft is considering a proposal from Louisiana to relocate there. The firm employs about 6,000 workers in the Wichita area.
Kansas Democratic Party Executive Director Kenny Johnston said Moran shouldn't trumpet an endorsement from someone trying to take jobs from his home state.
But Moran spokeswoman Elizabeth Patton said any suggestion that Moran won't fight for jobs is "outrageous."
The Democratic Party official is not related to Moran's Democratic opponent, college administrator Lisa Johnston.
