Shiregreen To Perform At SCCC/ATS
09/28/2010

Songwriter Shiregreen will perform at 7 p.m., Tuesday, Oct. 5 in the Seward

County Community College/Area Technical School theater.

Shiregreen¹s music is a blend of folk and country styles, both intense and

relaxing. Shiregreen is the stage name of the German musician Klaus

Adamaschek who writes his songs in English and performs them himself. His

fan club in Germany is huge and his fame and popularity have been growing

rapidly in the United States. He has released four albums and his ³Freedom

fighter² song won the 2008 worldwide Songwriter Contest called ³Composers.²

Many of the Shiregreen songs intentionally echo the great songwriters of the

seventies, like Neil Young, Kris Kristofferson and Leonhard Cohen.

Shiregreen uses both the Harp and guitar.

General admission is $3 at the door.
