Fair Board Meets With The Public In Brainstorming Session
09/24/2010

The Seward County Fair Board met Tuesday evening for a meeting in which the public was invited to attend and to bring ideas about the fair. There were several citizens that came with ideas and volunteered to work with the fair board on their ideas. Some of the ideas or suggestions that were brought to the board were, updating the garden and vegetable entries in the fair book and adding new entries and contests, having some kind of entertainment or events going on at the Activity Center while the exhibits were there and marketing the fair starting now to get the word out on ways the public and businesses can be involved. Hosting a sanctioned Bar BQ event was suggested. There was a volunteer to take over the Gospel Songfest to make that event bigger and better. There were many more suggestions. The fair board was very excited at the attendance and input from the public and welcome all comments.
