LHS 400 Relay Team Ready to Swim at State

State swimmers

For the second consecutive season, the LHS swim team sends a relay team to state.  Last year the 200 relay team went to state.  This year the 400 relay team qualifies.  The relay team swam a state qualifying 4:36.02 at the WAC Swim Meet in Hays.  The teams consists of seniors Tessa Downs and Macy Hintergardt, junior Nancy Varela, and freshman Linnae Downs.  Macy and Tessa competed at state last year on the 200 relay team.  Nancy and Tessa's younger sister Linnae are making their first appearance at state.  The state meet is Friday in Topeka.
