Lorenzo Pando is Mead Lumber Athlete of the Week
05/16/2014

Lorenzo Pando

Liberal senior second baseman Lorenzo Pando is the Mead Lumber Athlete of the Week.  Pando is second on the LHS baseball team in hitting at .346.  He also has five doubles, 10 RBI's, and 11 runs for the 11-9 Redskins.  His sacrifice fly to right drove home the winning run in Liberal's 3-2 win over Hays Tuesday afternoon.  Pando was a Triple Threat athlete at LHS playing football and basketball this season.  Pando plays second base for the Skins.

The 11-9 Redskins play Great Bend Wednesday at 2 in Westurban in Wichita on 1270 and kscbnews.net.  The Skins split at Great Bend earlier this season.  The winner meets Bishop Carroll or Wichita West at 5:30.  The 18-2 Carroll Eagles meet 4-16 Wichita West at about 3:45.
