Redskins Rout Aces
09/07/2010

Liberal remembered. Wichita East beat Liberal last year and celebrated like it was a World Cup win. It was a sign of respect to the Redskin program last year but not a feeling the Skins wanted to repeat this year. Liberal only lost two seniors last year so pretty much the same Skins met Wichita East Monday afternoon on a hot and windy day at the Wichita South Titan Classic. Liberal dominated in a 6-0 win over the Aces. Eduardo Moreno had five goals while Hector Mata added one goal and two assists. Isai Gutierrez added two assits while Socorro Martinez and Joe Pena dished an assist a piece. Goalie Frederic Gomez had four assists as LHS led the shots on goal category 10-4. The 2-0 second ranked Redskins play Wichita Southeast at South Thursday at 6 p.m. The Buffaloes beat Manhattan on a penalty kick to advance to the semifinals.
