Liberal Mercy Rules Great Bend

Isai Gutierrez, Joe Pena, Frederic Gomez, Jared Hall, and Auden Portillo.

Apparently these guys are serious about their soccer. The Liberal soccer team mercy ruled Great Bend 10-0 in the opener at Great Bend Memorial Stadium with 29:37 remaining in the game. Eduardo Moreno and Isai Gutierrez scored three goals a piece. Jose Chavira scored two and Jason Rios and Christian Gandara added goals. Hector Mata dished four assists while Alvin Portillo added two assists. Eduardo Moreno and Esteban Michelle also assisted. The second ranked Redskins play Wichita East at the Wichita South Titan Classic Monday at 3 p.m.
