Panhandle State Enrollment Highest in 30 Years

Students are pouring into Panhandle State this fall. Preliminary figures indicate the Goodwell school has the highest enrollment in 30 years and a 9.9 percent increase from the fall of 2009. The preliminary fall 2010 enrollment reported to the Oklahoma State Regents for Higher Education (OSRHE) includes 1,393 individual students and 18,845 credit hours. In a press release on the university's web site, OPSU President David Bryant says hard work is paying off. "Our efforts in recruiting and retention have had a positive impact. I especially thank the High School and Community Relations and Admissions staff members and Enrollment Management Task Force as well as deans, advisors, faculty, coaches and other staff who provide excellent student service."

The school has also seen an 8.9 percent increase in credit hours from fall 2009.
