02/17/2009

A Boise City man was reportedly in critical condition Saturday at Northwest Texas Hospital in Amarillo after a wreck in front of Hitch Feedyard on Friday afternoon. A 2004 Ford driven by a Liberal man was eastbound on Road Z, east of Highway 207 at approximately 12:05 pm when a 1989 Ford driven by 20 year old Preston Thornton of Boise City exited a private drive and did not stop at the stop sign. The eastbound car struck Thornton's car on the front passenger side. Thornton was ejected out the front window of the vehicle. A passenger in Thornton's vehicle 24 year old Cody Loftin of Hardesty was taken to Texas County Memorial Hospital in Guymon where he was treated and released. Seatbelts were not in use in Thornton's vehicle.
