Meade Marches On in 2A and Hugoton Makes State
03/13/2014

After making state the past three years and losing in the first round, the Meade girls changed that Wednesday afternoon in Manhattan.  Meade beat Olpe 61-49.  Bailey Olvera poured in 22 points and was 10 of 10 at the foul line.  Meade jumped in front of Olpe 11-0.  Olpe had been in four straight state title games.  Meade is 20-4 and will play 24-0 Claflin-Central Plains Friday at 3. 

In 4A Division 2, Holton defeated the Hugoton girls 53-41.  Hugoton finishes 19-4 and returns all of their team next season.
