Zach Ward is Mead Lumber Athlete of the Week
01/09/2014

Zach Ward

Liberal senior wrestler Zach Ward is the Mead Lumber Athlete of the Week.  He is a unique winner as he is athlete of the week after losing a match.  During a dual with Ulysses in Liberal December 19, Ward allowed a special needs opponent Boomer Seabolt to experience the joy of having his hand raised after a victory.  Seabolt then raised Ward's arm into the air as a show of his appreciation.  Ward also is a member of NHS and participated in cross country.  Click on the audio icon to hear his interview which aired during the Thursday morning edition of the Sportsguys on 1270.
