Skins Win Ugly Over Ulysses

Liberal won ugly.  The Redskins had 16 turnovers and didn't shoot well but beat Ulysses 40-30 Tuesday night in the Big House.  Ulysses was 0-15 from three point range in the loss.  Liberal shot 38 percent from the field and was just 2-11 from three point range. 

LHS jumped to a 9-3 lead before the Tigers used a 10-0 run to lead 11-9 after one and 13-9 early in the second quarter.  Liberal used a 9-2 run into the half to lead 18-15 at halftime.  LHS led 28-22 after three.  Ulysses made is tight 29-26 early in the fourth quarter before a 5-0 LHS run. 

Britton Abbott fought through foul trouble for nine points and Hayden Coker had eight points and 13 rebounds. 

Liberal breaks a three game losing skid and snaps a two game streak against UHS.  Liberal is 2-4 and plays at WAC favorite Hays Friday night at 7:45 on 1270 and kscbnews.net.  Ulysses, who won the Hugoton Blue and Red Classic, falls to 4-3. 

The Redskin boys will be featured during Thursday's Rowdy Crowd Show at 5:30 on 1270 and kscbnews.net and live from Billy's.
