Redskins Serge Past Ulysses

The Redskins received the equivlent of a buzzer beating shot in basketball Thursday night in the Big House.  Liberal won their wrestling dual against the Ulysses Tigers as heavyweight Sergio Borjas pinned his man with 3.4 seconds remaining.  LHS trailed 30-27 going into that final dual.  Empty weights plagued the Tigers as LHS just won two contested bouts.  Greg McClurg won his match 5-4.  Ulysses wrestlers 138 pound Kaler Gilbert,  145 pound Bryce Rodriguez, and 195 pound Diego Maravilla all won by fall.  Juan Anguiano at 152 won 8-4, Zach Miller at 120 won 9-7, Angel Moncayo won 3-1 at 160, and Otto Orosco won 4-2 at 220 giving the Tigers seven match wins.  LHS competes in Kingfisher, Oklahoma Saturday.
