Liberal Spikers Finish Season at State Doorstep

Liberal beat Hays but lost to Great Bend Saturday at the 5A sub state volleyball tournament in the Big House in Liberal.  LHS brushed Hays aside 25-18, 25-23 before losing to Great Bend  16-25, 20-25 in front of a raucous crowd.  Great Bend swept Liberal in three matches this season and Liberal didn't win a single set.  Great Bend also defeated Ark City Saturday.  Liberal finishes 22-17.

On the other side of the bracket and east side of the Big House, Bishop Carroll beat Goddard and Goddard Eisenhower to advance to state.   Eisenhower beat Maize South to make it to the sub state final.
