Mercy Perez is Mead Lumber Athlete of the Week

Mercy Perez

Liberal senior cross country runner Mercy Perez is the Mead Lumber Athlete of the Week.  Perez took fifth at the WAC meet last week at Great Bend to earn her all conference honors.  She has made it to state twice already and will try to make it a third time with the regional meet at Lake Afton near Goddard hosted by Bishop Carroll  Saturday at 2:30.  Carroll, Kapaun, Ark City, Andover, Wichita West, Goddard, and Goddard Eisenhower will compete at the regional.

Mercy's best time this season is 16:09.  She has made it to state all three years in track and is a member of NHS.
