Redskins Place Fourth at Willow Tree

Slader McVey prepares to t-off on hole 10 at Willow Tree Tuesday.

Each WAC golf team hosts a tournament consisting of the five conference teams. Tuesday was Liberal's turn. Dodge City shot a 308 to win the tournament at Willow Tree followed by Garden City (312), Hays 313, Liberal (321), and Great Bend (404). Hays wins the WAC based on the combined scores of the five tournaments. Dodge City's Zack Kirby won the tournament witha 72. Liberal's Conner Warren carded a 76 for fourth to lead LHS. Slader McVey shot a 79 for 10th. Zane Ralston was 13th with an 81 while Alex Colvin shot an 85 for 15th, Jerad Hall shot an 86 for 20th, and Lucas Poulton had a 91 for 25th. LHS competes at the regional golf tournament at Carey Park in Hutchinson Monday with Hutchinson, Hays, Great Bend, McPherson, Newton, Salina Central, and Salina South.
