Liberal plays Great Bend in Conference play tonight.

Liberal Redskin Boys' Tennis finishes First Place in the Great Bend Invitational Tennis Tournament:

Individual Results:

#1 Singles--Rogelio Alvarez went 5-0 finishing 1st Place. He defeated Dodge City's Peter Neidhart 8-0...defeated Ellinwood's Aaron Koelter 8-3...defeated Garden City's Andy Larkin 8-3...defeated Hoisington's Chris Batt 8-1...then defeated Great Bend's Kevin Pringle 8-3 to take the 1st Place Medal.

#1 Doubles--Landon Harp & Aaron Schaffer went 5-0 finishing 1st Place. They defeated Dodge City's Alex Jenker/Garrett Salem 8-2...defeated Ellinwood's Kyle Corbett/Cale Clawson 8-2...defeated Garden City's Brandon Stucky/Blake Stucky 8-4...defeated Hoisington's Ryan Hoffman/Ethon Smith 8-1....Then defeated Great Bend's Israel Mendosa/Oscar Torrez 8-1 to finish 1st Place.

#2 Singles--Josh Hamilton went 2-3 he lost to Dodge City's Tanner Miller 4-8...defeated Ellinwood's Shawn Troyer 8-0...Lost to Garden City's Todd Wells 2-8...defeated Hoisington's Jordan Klima 8-0...then lost to Great Bend's Matt Krug 2-8

#2 Doubles--Vince Nguyen & Duc Nguyen went 5-0 finishing 1st Place. They defeated Dodge City's Armando Marquez/Luis Lopez 8-1...defeated Ellinwood's Alex Barr/Cole Clawson 8-3...defeated Garden City's Peyton Nelson/Ethan Meier 8-6...defeated Hoisington's Jordan Mooney/Patrick Cowan 8-1...Then defeated Great Bend's Sergio Ramirez/Ramon Garcia 8-1 to finish 1st Place.

Liberal took 1st Place as a team.
