Gasparini Wins Third Straight Player of the Week Award
10/16/2013

For the third time this season, Seward County freshman
Carolina Gasparini has been named the KJCCC Player of the Week, as
announced by the league Tuesday.  Gasparini starred for the Lady Saints
once again this week, recording her 6th and 7th straight double-doubles
in a pair of Jayhawk West Conference matches.  Wednesday against
Hutchinson she finished with 13 kills and 12 digs, hitting .310 in the
match for the Lady Saints.  On Saturday at Garden City she one-upped
herself, hammering down 15 kills with just 2 errors, hitting .500 for
the match and also notching a match high 14 digs in a Seward win.  She
finished the week averaging 4.67 kills and 4.33 digs per set for the
Lady Saints.  She shares the award this week with Hutchinson's Teresa
Wade.

Gasparini and the Lady Saints will be back at it tonight
as they travel to Colby to take on the league leading Lady Trojans in a
key Jayhawk West Conference match at 6:30 in the Community Building.
